Why the Number 2 Means Everything to Me

When people see the number 2 in my logo, they might assume it’s just a design choice—something simple, clean, or easy to remember. But for me, it’s anything but random.

Dennis Rinaldi and his brother Daniel.

The number 2 carries a story. A memory. A legacy.

It represents my younger brother, Daniel.

Dan wasn’t just my brother—he was someone who brought energy, perspective, and joy into every room he entered. Like a lot of kids, he had his heroes. His favorite player was Derek Jeter, and his favorite number was, without question, 2.

Through Make-A-Wish, we were given something I’ll never take for granted—the opportunity for Dan to meet Derek Jeter. Not just once, but on a couple of occasions. Those moments weren’t just about baseball. They were about hope, excitement, and seeing pure joy come to life in someone you love.

That number—2—became more than a jersey digit. It became a symbol of those memories, of who Dan was, and what he meant to me.

Dennis Rinaldi, MPA. Owner of One2One Coaching and Consulting.

So when it came time to create my company and build something that reflects who I am and what I stand for, I knew I didn’t want a logo that was just “good branding.” I wanted something real. Something that meant something.

Including the number 2 was my way of making sure Dan is always part of what I do.

His spirit shows up in my everyday work—in how I connect with people, how I try to show up for others, and how I push myself to make a difference. I try to carry forward a small piece of who he was—the joy, the resilience, the perspective—and build that into my practice.

The logo isn’t just a symbol of my business.

It’s a reminder of why I do it.

It’s a reminder to stay grounded in what matters.

And it’s a way of keeping my brother with me, every single day
